Before starting the installation procedure, the following necessary points need your consideration:

  • First of all, don’t forget to disconnect all the powered cables.

  • Ensure that the power adapter is compatible with your system. Not all voltage units can be placed in any system, so you should ensure that the bought module is compatible.

PC manufacturers assemble the system with their unique voltage components. You must contact the manufacturer or vendor to get a suitable voltage adapter.

  • You should get all the tools before starting the installation. Usually, it requires screwdrivers to open the lid and remove the module.

  • You should avoid current shocks by discharging yourself with the help of a grounding strap, as it can be tragic for you and your components.

  • If replacing the power supply with the new one, you should remove the old one.

  • Remove the lid of the tower case with the help of screwdrivers.

  • Remove the screws that fasten the power supply with the case.

  • Now that the old adapter is disconnected from the case, you can remove it.

  • Place the power supply in the case and ensure that it is placed correctly.

  • The fan of the power unit must face toward the internal components of the computer.

  • Tighten it with the help of screws.

  • As the adapter is appropriately placed, connect it to the GPU, motherboard, storage, and other modules.
  • Firstly, you should plug the motherboard into a voltage adapter with a 24-pin connector.
  • Next, connect the 8-pin CPU connector.
  • The remaining parts should be plugged in, like HDD, SSD, or other drives.
  • You should plug all the cables according to the PC manual. However, without a manual, you should plug the wires in the same sequence as unplugging the old one.
  • In the end, you should recheck and ensure all the parts are plugged in correctly.

Now all the cables are plugged in, place the removed lid on the case and seal it with the help of screws. Maybe your PSU has a power switch that requires manually powering ON or OFF.

Switch the button to ON mode. At this stage, your system is ready to operate. Turn on the system and start performing your tasks.
