GIGABYTE Announces The 2 TB AORUS Gen4 AIC SSD

by Rustam Iqbal

Recently GIGABYTE has publicly stated the launch of a 2TB AORUS Gen4 AIC SSD which gives remarkable sequential read and write speeds. It is noticeable that it is envisioning the four 500GB SSDs pre-installed, computed on a PCIe 4.0 connected to a single PC slot, running in collaboration with the PRISON PS5016-E16 controllers. These 500GB SSDs are staunch to a single PCIe slot. This feature is on the board for their onlookers and consumers.

This AIC SSD is significantly more modified and has a prominent and innovative thermal solution, especially for their end-users, incompatibility it has speedy storage which amazingly makes a nexus of SSDs on their boards through an NVMe slot directly.

Furthermore, architecture shows that the AIC SSD with a pre-installed facility has 500 GB NVMe SSDs which are affixed with the PC system. The full-length PC is running on a PCIe slot. A piece of news of particular interest is the storage of the model which is 2TB OR 2 terabytes, this is the whole storage furnished through it.

The perfection could stand here as we can say the astonishing fast storage is an out-and-out for the users and by side for the content creators it is flawless. Why is it in the favour of content creators the answer is simple as they need an accurate and flawless system for their working so it is the right choice for them as faster storage while editing facilitates them with more wide-spread videos or projects.

Some features indulge in the AORUS Gen 4 AIC SSD:

  • Form factor: PCI express card
  • Interface : PCI-Express 4.0 x 16, NVMe 1.3
  • Total capacity: 8,000 GB
  • Seq. read speed: up to 1,5000 MB/s
  • Seq. write speed: up to 15,000 MB/s
  • Wear leveling, over-provision technologies
  • TRIM and S.M.A.R.T supported
  • Advanced thermal solution with copper heatsink
  • Warranty: limited 5 five years

On a contrary comparison, this AIC proffers the sequential read speed up to 1,5000 MB/s and on the other hand a write speed of 9,5000 MB/s. This speed is more than enough while connecting the drives to the computer's motherboards NVMe slots. The AIC SSD is established on a PCIe 4.0 processor, organized for the PCs running on third-generation processors.

This AIC SSD is working on a world-first PCIe 4.0 x 4 controller, whose architecture is modified and working on the PRISON PS5016-E16 controllers. This PS5106-E16 has power for ECC processing when indulging in the brand-new 3D TLC NAND flash chips.

This device is designed to assist the NVMe 1.3 protocol, LDPC error correction, wear leveling, and the magnified over-provision technology as a result of which enhanced the reliability and durability of SSDs cards. The structure of AIC SSD is fabricated in such an impressive way with high-end Gen4 SSDs which appeared as a thermal design of the device itself.

The manufacturing is mind-blowing as the motif consists of the high-thermal conductivity pad with 5.5m pure heatsink. For the maintenance of the temperature up to 30 degrees, the systems permit the cooling design to perform on a single copper heatsink.

This possession of the launch will be settled until the gigabyte officially announces the public availability of this product. As consumers are ready to snatch the biscuit if gigabyte would tell the prices and availability of the SSD in the market.
